Our values

We aim to ensure that all we do is underpinned by the following four values:

  • A heart for the vulnerable

This is outworked through prioritising the education of orphans, giving opportunities for educational or vocational training, and looking out for widows. Isaiah 58:10 says “If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.”

  • Partnering with the local community

Standing on over 20 years of friendship with local pastors enables us to hear clearly what would most benefit the community and the best way to deliver it. We recognise that those who live in the community are the best equipped to know what the community needs.

  • Empowering people to create sustainable futures

We aim to empower people and bring hope for the future through education, training and business start-up opportunities. We use local resources where possible and therefore work hard to support the local economy. Our desire is that those we work with will develop skills and projects that enable them to support themselves and their families.

  • Living the Christian message

We believe in the transformational power of the Christian faith. Knowing Jesus transforms people’s lives practically, emotionally and spiritually. God cares about every aspect of our lives, and so we want to model the same through what we do.
